My help and my support

Finding psychological support, receiving emergency aid, knowing who to turn to if you face discrimination, getting legal assistance... these are just some of the questions that will be answered here.

How do I apply for a grant from CROUS?

You have to create and submit your Student Social File (DSE) south www.messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr before 31 May. Please note, delays affect housing applications.

You need to prepare your DSE submission and provide:

  • from a personal email address,
  • from your parents' tax notice for year N-2 (example: for a scholarship application for the start of the 2026 academic year, provide the 2025 tax notice on 2024 income),
  • of a bank account details (RIB) in your name and surname (parents' RIB refused),
  • of your study wishes (if they change, they can be modified later).

Various The criteria taken into account for the scholarship award the Family income, the Number of dependants in higher education),’Distance from the place of study.
You do not need to wait for your exam results or for Parcoursup to be published to complete your DSE.
Please note, certain establishments and certain courses are not eligible to receive scholarship students.

I am a student in a health or social services field, how do I apply for a scholarship?

Us Health and social care scholarships are not managed by the Crous but by the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Region.
If you are students in the health and social sector (nursing, physiotherapy, midwifery, social worker, early childhood educator, special educational needs teacher, etc.), Scholarship application is done online every year on the website of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region : www.bourgognefranchecomte.co.uk/application-for-health-and-social-bursaries
The scales are identical to the amounts of national higher education grants based on social criteria (Crous grants, see above).

Is there a specific scholarship for students from Dijon?

Yes, the city of Dijon offers a Dijon municipal grant for students the Dijon student municipal housing.
Modest students can receive a municipal grant in exchange for 12 hours of voluntary work for an association accredited by the Town Hall.

Conditions

  • to be a resident of Dijon for at least 3 years,
  • be enrolled in an institution of higher education in the Dijon metropolitan area,
  • to have very modest resources.

How do I know what help I'm entitled to?

  • The city of Dijon edited one Guide titled «The City Helps You» in which all aid relating to family life, health, housing, and employment is listed. It inventories aid and services accessible particularly to young people and students.

  • The Crous social services welcomes and listens to students in case of difficulties, whatever their nature (personal, family, psychological, medical, administrative, financial).

Meet a peer mentor from the Etu'Bien scheme: 

  • Your well-being is a programme set up by the Maison des Adolescents et de leurs parents de Côte-d’Or it is intended for students experiencing difficulties (stress, studies, health, isolation, administrative problems...) and provides Student ambassadors on the Dijon campus. They are there to promote student well-being (listening, providing information, and offering completely confidential guidance).

  • The Adolescent and Parent Centre of Côte-d'Or also welcomes young people from 18 to 25 years and, in particular, students.   • Amacod, Municipal and associative antenna for the fight against discrimination of the City of Dijon can listen to and support you. It welcomes and supports people who feel they are victims of discrimination, particularly students with The Amacod Tour.

  • University of Burgundy-Europe put in place a scheme for the prevention of, and action against, sexism and sexual violence (VSS). To report inappropriate behaviour: stop.harcelement.vss@u-bourgogne.fr
    You will be swiftly put in touch with a psychologist who can guide you towards two possible solutions: psychological and/or medical support from the student health service, or an official report that could trigger disciplinary proceedings and/or a report to the public prosecutor.
  • The Women's House – Health Côte-d’Or
    It is aimed at women who are victims of violence (domestic, sexual, or psychological) or who require sexual health support. They can benefit from a range of consultations, provided in complete confidentiality.

Us Justice points offer free and anonymous support to individuals facing legal and/or administrative problems.
They provide legal information on rights and obligations, assist with procedures and refer to professionals if necessary.

The solidarity day in September on the Dijon campus

To equip yourself without breaking the bank, a 100 % flea market – free entry For students: clothing, crockery, small electrical appliances, toiletries, school supplies…
This day is organised annually as part of the Campus Days at the start of September.

Take part in the free workshops from the University of Bourgogne-Europe's Wellbeing Unit. 

The Wellness Suite from the University of Burgundy Europe offers Free workshops regular (weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc) for students all year round.  Support in managing stress and emotions stress management, self-confidence development, strengthening social bonds, balanced eating habits, relaxation time…
